Right in the middle of down town Newport RI, where all the action is on Thames St. is the Bouchard Inn and Restaurant.  This Inn is actually a true bed and breakfast, and the breakfast is the best part about staying here!  You get the most delicious freshly cooked French pastries delivered to your room every morning!   The restaurant itself is highly recommended and one of the premier spots to eat at in Newport.  The food is simply amazing and you can't go wrong with it.  The inn itself is very nice.  It is a great place to go for a weekend getaway without kids.  It is definitely more of an adult atmosphere as people are looking to enjoy the quaintness and sweet décor that it has to offer.  The room itself was OK.  The shower seemed to be a little outdated and there were no windows that actually opened in my room.  The bed was comfortable and each room has a coffee maker and mini-fridge so it makes it very easy to h...

Having a Sunday brunch in a metropolitan area is always fun. The hustle and bustle of the city life, people are out and about with a purpose and somewhere to go, or maybe nowhere to go but just pretending like they do. Camping at New Port Dunes in New Port Beach, CA is a real luxury way of camping. It is primary a luxury RV resort but there are some sites that allow tent camping. New Port Dunes is located right on the bay so the amenities are very family friendly from water sports to relaxing on the sand, this campground has it all! Memorial weekend was a perfect weekend to camp at “The Dunes.” They turned it into one big Luau party with bands by the bay and a feast that would leave even the Hawaiians wanting more. Some people may not consider this “real camping” because it is so upscale but you can still have your campfire and s’mores and there are not bugs crawling all over you.
